Disordered (or Emotional) Eating Recovery Group

Therapist – Deborah Rodriguez, MEd

When people struggle to effectively control their issues with emotional eating, over-eating or under-eating, they can often end up battling feelings of hopelessness too. This group is specifically designed to offer proven best practices in the provision of comprehensive support that helps clients with the fight. The group features both therapy and nutrition lifestyle help for people who are fighting disordered eating issues. The goal of the group is to help participants really understand personal barriers that prevent a healthy relationship with food, eating, and emotional health. From there, the group can help create a more effective plan for long-term change.

Group participants will:

  • Identify triggers, emotional consequences, and core beliefs related to food and weight
  • Learn how personality or other characteristics could be driving eating behaviors
  • Discover how to set boundaries with food habits without feelings of depression
  • Learn how to think differently about eating and plan ahead for success
  • Discover how to access the inner-caretaker

Deborah’s extensive experience in helping clients resolve their lifelong issues with food and weight will be applied in these group settings with a focus on re-connecting to a healthier mind and body. This group’s day and time are yet to be determined. If you are interested in joining, please call or email us and we’ll notify you once scheduled.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the group, please let your Relationship Resolutions therapist know. If you are not a current client with Relationship Resolutions, please call 412-921-3908 or email info@relationshipresolutions.org to schedule an intake appointment to determine your appropriateness for the group.

Please note that group members determine how much and what is disclosed at each group session. No one will ever be forced to discuss or divulge anything about which they are uncomfortable. At the beginning of each session, the therapist will remind group members that by participating, they have made a commitment to maintain the confidentiality of all members’ identities and experiences.
